In doing research for my book, I stumbled upon the, “School of Bees.” I was not only amazed with this educational website; I was fascinated by the world of bees. Richard and Steve possess a plethora of knowledge about bees. I can’t say enough about this wonderful website and blog. As an Author of children’s books, I appreciate not only how Richard and Steve make it fun to learn, but how their site helped me to develop my character Bumble and his world, by expanding my awareness of over 20,000 species of bees, the many colors, behaviors, and the importance of all bees to our planet.

I invite you to tag along with me and the characters in my new book, “The Wildly Whimsical Tales of Gracie and Sniggles; The Mystery of The Blue Goo.” This children’s book is beautifully illustrated by Karine Makartichan. It follows a young girl named Gracie and her dog, Sniggles, as they find whimsical adventure and meet new friends. Gracie and Sniggles have moved out of the city and into the suburbs. When they arrive, they set out to explore their new surroundings. They meet a crow named Bob, Lucy the cat, Ziggy the squirrel, and a wee little bee named Bumble who was somehow painted blue. Bumble is sad because the queen bee will not allow him back into the hive because he is not yellow, like the rest of his fellows. Join us in this adventure as these new friends follow the clues to discover how Bumble was covered in blue goo, and what they can do to help him. Along the way, Gracie and her friends remind us the importance of acceptance, kindness, and friendship.

This children’s book is timely, when our world seems so divided.  Bumbles sticky situation offers a lesson in compassion and tolerance;

“It shouldn’t matter what color you are. There should be no rejection, we are all perfection. Blue, green, or tangerine, we all have feelers that are tender. It is love and kindness that we should render. Words can hurt, or words can heal. There is no need to be mean because you are green,” Bumble explained. “Now dry your eyes, we have a surprise.” …

Young readers will enjoy the rhymes, the whimsical adventure, and the interesting characters they meet along this magical journey. Parents will appreciate the valuable message this book offers. It’s a fun to read for adults and children alike.

The Wildly Whimsical Tales of Gracie and Sniggles ‘The Mystery of The Blue Goo’ will make a great gift for the holidays! Available on Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Authorhouse November 30th, 2020.

Warm Regards,
Teressa Hill
